Middle Rock Beach, New South Wales, AU

 

Fanatic Skate, 6.5m Firefly. non-Planning wavesailing (ie: dont plane on way out, but plane when riding waves on way in) at Middle Rock - just wanted to see how fast one gets going when wave riding in light wind. Fun day anyway, waves overhead high, but just enough wind to punch out through even though not planning.

 Cant work out to save Google earth overlay, Mark H showed me, but I cant get it to save....Anyway..... - looks cool on G.Earth, can see a few waverides and swirley downwindy carve things Laughing

Sailed with Steve in a afternoon session. Checked out Town Green but not enough wind. Went down to the Q/Lake.

Nice 15 knots ENE. First day I was happy Sea Breeze forecast was wrong. They forecasted 5 knots all day.

I-Sonic 122, 7.5m VMG, 36 JP Weed.

yeah Mark, sounds like the lake would have been definately windier - weird!!!!!! - the waves were just soooooooo good today tho

Lucky you guys posted today, otherwise the team average with just me and Mick looked pretty poor with me dragging the team average way down - I can go fast, really i will prove my worth when the southerlies are back (and when there are no waves) Wink

Hi all, it's my first post. I was on the other side of Queens Lake from you two guys (Mark & Steve), you guys were getting some speed up. I was getting some decent runs but the lulls were killing me, I tried to point up and get up to you two but when a gust hit I beared away to get max speed therefore lost ground, it was more fun than pointing up. I need to get a weed fin, I was weaving between them like they were land mines and caught a few! Hey Steve you got a spare weedy to fit a Powerbox you want to sell? Hey Adam good to see your squigglies, hopefully join you at MR soon, it'll happen this summer! There was a young fella (Paddy) out at Queens with you guys, he's a local skiff sailor who's taken up windsurfing, good to see a sub 20-year old giving it a shot.
