Small Southerly, but good fun with friends and family.

We took:

  • 160L Drops Formula
  • 104L JP Excite Ride
  • 91L   Exocet
  • 6.8m Gun
  • 5.5m TR4
  • 3.0m Blade

Mixed and matched almost all posible combinations at some stage.

24.47 kt peak would have been the 6.8m sail on the Exocet... not bad in about 18kt gust.

I got a few nice gybes in, but not really strong enough for a small board!

My daughter (Alfa-Female) is also improving... learning to balance here weight against the sails pull....

alfa-female

3m sail on the 104L board. She didn't do 24kts!

3m sail proved to small for me :)

3m too small

Last minute and surprise little training run with T. Ford yesterday arvo for an hour or so before the wind clapped out. First time in 4 months the big guy has rigged the formula kit, so he done good. Can't wait for the Down Under Pro in a few weeks. The FE+ fleet is going to be the bomb this year. Check out who's coming, awesome!

Good on Alfa-Female, it's good to see youngsters catching up, we need new blood in the sport
