The Train, Southport, QLD, AU

Probably my one and only holiday sail while I'm in Qld. It's a balance between running the kids to the skate park and sitting with them for 3 hours as they do that while all Dad gets is a pathetic 1 hour of sailing Frown

Still, nice to be out in boardies and warm water. No flat water at all, it was high tide so no sand banks exposed at all. Wind was a gusty 10-25 probably but I was happy with the gear I rigged. Practiced gybing with my knees a lot more bent than I usually would and it really seemed to help. It's funny the bad habits you fall into over the years and gybing with way too much back foot pressure is one of them I have been doing. Bummed I didn't break 20 knots for the alpha but considering the bumpy water not a bad result I guess.

Good fun arvo session after work with Ads, Tim and Chris. I think I might have a formula 2sec PB there... Need to work more on my sail tuning. Didnt feel very comfortable at all today.

Now that was fun. Great sail with T. Ford, Dave F, and Chris Ting. Nice training run indeed. The modified chicken strap set up is coming together, a little more tweaking on choice of construction materials and I'll have it!Laughing
