I repaired the broken batten on my 8.3 Gaastra Swift yesterday using a bit of aluminium tubing and some wooden splints to even the load out around the ends of the tube - and gave it a whirl today. So far, so good! | ||||||||||||||||||
Karl (3279km):  2 categories  Kyeemagh, NSW, AU Tabou Rocket 140, Hot Sails Maui Speed Demon 6.6m, Select 35cm fin. Not enough sail for the wind. Never got going. A funny easterly wind that seemed to be quite strong up on the road but lacked power. My 7.4m sail and big fin would have been a better bet. The good news in that Macwind has joined up. He was flying that day.
