JP SLW 92, NP RS1 11m, Pepe supersexy weed 50cm.

The forecast looked good all week, plans were made for a mission......... Huey farts in the general direction of plans made by mere mortals.

Allowing for a fading wind I rigged as large as I could which had me a bit concerned when rigging up as we had whitecaps everywhere, however I was saved a spanking by the hours worth of faffing around I did learning how to rig this new sail.Embarassed

Note to self...........when you get a new sail, test rig at home first to sort out all the bug's and don't waste the best breeze of the morning.

At the end of it all the SUPER FATTY BOOMBALLATA gear was the right call, hint of breeze hook in point down wind shuffle feet back and then up and runningCool

Very surprised with the sail although on the wrong mast it behaved very nicely, best 11m I've used to date.

All in all a fun session and some well needed excersize and match fitness in case we ever get wind again.

7.5m koncept, 122 rrd, 44cm mfc lp. Got going a couple of times, enough to get a handle on the board. Would have liked another 2 knots to see how this board gets up and goes. Very happy with the set up though.

Got passed quite a number of times by Elmo with his spinnaker. He even yelled out "you're burying the windward rail", bloody cheek! What f#@!en wind! Laughing

What can I say that my speeds dont say a 1.639 kt NMSurprised  Planed about 2 % of the time? I must only have distance thats recorded above a certain speed was out for a while but maybe thats it 5 kms in an hour and a half coulda walked faster.  The most interesting part of the day was watching Elmo who appeared to be planing 90% of the time, 11m sail and the JP Light wind slalom, very impressive, but geez do I have to get more gearUndecided

Pleasant drift with Elmo (he wasn't drifting), Pepe, Hardie, Shane and yoyo, with Stroppo as observer.

My mission today was to try my new 5.8 KA, and compare it's bottom end with the avi 6.0.

Wind wasn't up enough to get any idea, had a semi powered run on each of them, top speed on the KA but that was slightly more downwind.

Wish now I hadn't rigged the 6.0 straight away as I missed the best wind doing so, could have really got the feel of the new sail

Hey Elmo, good to see you found some muppet sized lightwind kit too! Had the same dilemma at peli after i rigged and saw some white caps coming across the riverSurprised but usually short lived bursts to get the heart pounding. So much fun planing versus floating. Laughing
