Middle Creek Reserve, NSW, AU

Got out a bit late but looked like it was good timing. Sunny, windy and warm for an hour or so then high cloud rolled in and the wind started dying. Very high tide and very bumpy so chop bashing today, opposite of Canton on Sunday Cry

Thought it was going to get pretty windy so rigged 7.0. Was good fun cruising around with some nice gusts. Realised everyone else had gone in due to big gear. Wind started backing off so got a solid one straight down the pond & back to beach.

Nice way to start 2014, Happy New Year everyone.

The wind was reading 20 knots and building steadily, so I rigged the 6.3 expecting 25 knots with 30 gusts. It never happened. It was good to finally meet Adrian Vos and we had a run over to Kurnell together. There were so many holes in the wind in behind the runway, so I spent most of the day out in the bay.

Happy New Year!

Kurnell to Kyeemagh and back.

http://www.ka72.com/TrackRecalc.aspx?fid=54511

Almost made the return trip in one run, but ran out of wind at the end of the runway and had to gybe.

RS2, Select Carbon 31 (awesome fin!) and TR6 7.0m sail (bit big out in the middle, bit small up at Kyeemagh).

JP Slalom Racing 66, 36cm JP fin, NP RSS 6.7.

I thought the wind was going to build to 25-30knts so rigged smaller than I thought I'd need and the wind never really came in.  That said, with a comfortable sail, consistent wind and flat water behind the runway it was a cruisy sail.  I haven't had that much fun in ages.  Cool

Great day on the water (also went for a surf this morning). Gusty up the north end - should have follwed Mike down into the bay.

Lots of chat on the shoreline and up in the rigging area.

Don't you love summer in Sydney Cool

Nice sessions guys. I took the kids out dirt biking, I think it's becomming a New Years tradition for us all. Hope to see you both on the water somewhere soon!

Nice sailing today Michael! Great to meet you and do a very long run together!! Look forward to sailing again sometime soon. Pity that wind never really kicked in today, but I was lucky to have some gear that was working pretty well.

Hey Mike, what's it like between the runways? Good spot, or likely to get a visit from the cops?

Hi Berowne, where I sailed, it's legal to be there - I didn't go through any buoy lines. The wind was full of holes behind the main runway, so I thought I'd try the third runway as it's lower. No luck, it was pretty gusty there too. Much better out in the middle.

Hi,

I think I have a good video of you Andrew on your way to a PB, is AUS-311 on your sail? If so do you want the video posted?

Here is a photo of Peter out there yesterday!
