Hood River waterfront Park. Hood River, The Gorge, USA

NP Evo6 6.4 RDM mod Mistral Speed 55 Vector Raven 28

Figured I'd get a mellow day today and go for an hour after 2 days of sand driven speed. Started underpowered but ended up way overpowered, blowing over 30 knots, and the 6.4 wasn't liking it. Choppy as hell and hard to put the hammer down for a good fangin'. Sand was blowing off the sandbar downwind so binned it for the day and had a lazy lunch checking out the talent strolling the boardwalk......noice.

despite the good speeds, you're not selling the Gorge as a fun place to sail...

The Gorge is full of extremes, there's over 100 miles of river to sail on a good day. You can have mast high swells to ride, flat water blasting, extreme chop, mellow cruising...just pick a location that suits. Add in the incredible scenery and it's a magical place.
