Finally it feels like the Gorge season has started. Warmer and steadier winds with the usual Gorge chop/slop. Lots of current running after a record rainfall and snowfall this past winter.

No sandbar to be seen, if at all this year. Getting the new gear dialed in and bringing up the match fitness.

Looks like a few good sessions on tap over the next week.

Roo, nice numbers for 'getting dialed in' Smile.  Anyone else out on the water?

Since I am a wuss and out of shape, I'm headed to Floras Lake starting probably next Thursday for a multiday session, to get ME and the equipment back in sync.

Once I feel somewhat confident I'll join you at the Gorge.

Happy to see the weather has finally turned to a more normal Spring.

OK Princess Barton time to don some thick rubber and man up. Will be sunny in the Gorge the next week with some nice winds on tap. Get your precious little butt out here and get windsurfing.

Love,

Roo

HI Roo! I really appreciate the love note, especially since it isn't even Valentine's Day Laughing.

I'm loading up the motorhome and getting the gear organized but have a sick wife so don't know what my schedule will be. Also, I'm going to install 200W of solar panels on the motorhome which may take a day or so.

Given the forecasts I have seen for the event site and Floras, I will probably still go to Floras for my first trip. This Friday/Saturday should be North winds gusting to 30+ knots which is ideal at Floras as I'll can sail fairly close to shore at the north end of the lake with very little chop and no swell...

Separate topic: The Prednisone is going to town on the eye tumor. Swelling almost gone and the eye is returning to its normal location in the eye socket. Back to good, normal vision (no double vision or focusing issues) so won't be able to use that as an excuse...

Great news on the eye mate, now you can see the gusts and turn off the wind! Tomorrow and Friday look good out here, water a toasty 50 degrees, good incentive to make your jibes.
