Hood River Waterfront Park

Nice to be able to see the other side of the river, with all the smoke from the fire in the Gorge we finally got it cleared out to get a nice sess in. Very gusty and spooky with weird grey lighting and no way to see the gusts.

Glad you were able to get a session.

The air quality finally improved here in Corvallis this afternoon with most of the smoke haze having been blown to the east. Based on the air quality data I see from The Dalles, we are much better off here than you guys are, as would be expected.

I have no desire to have the 'hilton' smell like forest fire smoke (which Claudia reacts negatively to very quickly) so will not be coming up this weekend. Next week we have poorly scheduled doctor's appointments and an RV warranty maintenance appointment which shoots the week. May be able to get on the water on Sept 16 or later... Frown

Oh, BTW, we fly to Bonaire on Oct 11.

Don't leave it too long to get back on the water...you'll be old and grey before you know it!

I'm already old and grey (before I knew it)!

Believe me, I would really like to be on-the-water but there were medical check-ups, cataract surgery for Claudia, etc that had to happen before we went back to Bonaire, and time is running out...

Unfortunately, Oct - mid-December is low wind season on Bonaire. On the other hand, this may be the perfect time to get up close and personal with my new gear from Taty. I'll be picking up the iSonic 127 and the GA Vapor 7.9 soon after we arrive. The Vapor 6.4 and 7.1 have to wait until end of November because, if Taty has recovered enough, they will be going to the PWA New Caledonia race.
