Leighton Beach, WA, AU

The sea breeze came in late and very light no more than 15 knots. Still good to get out on a hot day. JJ was getting some flight time on the foil. Good to have a beer and chat with Boz, Tailwind and JJ at the end of a summerish day.

Tested the light wind capability of the foil - 0 to 10 knots with brief gusts to about 14.

Seems I need 10 to 12 knots to get foiling easily - the big rig felt too heavy, think I might have got going as well with the 6,2 wave sail and lighter boom.

When the wind picked up to 10 to 12 I was foiling about 50% of the time - heaps better than sitting on the beach.

Don't think I've ever headed out to sea in 0 knots before - no way I could even beach start.

Quite different to sit around chatting with Nick, Andrew and Ken without gettting windblown.
