Isonic 90 and TRX 7.0. Started out super light 5-12 kts. Only just planing but ocaisional gusts kept me interested, gradually the wind arrived as did the regular crew of sailors. Turned out to be a pretty good day although the angle was not the best and the wind was a very gust 10-25 kts.

The water level was really good and the weed bergs were at least partially submerged

Patchy S/W- S wind...good to see Mark and Maree from the north as well as the usual gang though not all that many showed up...l suppose some of us still have to work to keep the country going!..Used my trusty 7m ..87L isonic and 17cm delta. The fin was too small so, l kept spinning out and didnt really get enough drive off it. Keep missing THAT Gust still thats needed!

Still a nice day with sunshine and reggae!

5-23kts SSW-S Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 7.5m GT turbo - RS4 - 25 BP 50 weedspeed ( 20cm deep)

6.6m Koncept - 79ltre - 16cmkestrel

6.2m OD - 79ltre - 25 BP 50 weedspeed

A rather unsatisfying session. Seemed to spend most of the day rigging and changing boards and fins. Started early 10am even though it was crap as Ireally didn't think it was going to happen today. Even with the big combo I only got a few puffs. Seemed to be picking up so came in and changed to the 6.6m and small board with the kestrel.

The water level is up a few inches and it was choppier. The 25cm BP worked well but I was a bit wary re the depth and you had to avoid weedbergs so I thought I'd try the 16 kestrel which had worked so well last time..yuck.. too choppy and after one spinout I wasn't game to put any pressure on it . I was also a bit overpowered with the 6.6m . As a result I was sailing like a sack of spuds..Undecided. I decided to come in and change to the deeper fin as at least it would hold in the chop.. Lovely sideways run all the way across the channel with a few choice words flying.Yell I was just too tired to try and get it back in again..

Seemed to be coming in so rigged the 6.2m OD and put the bigger 25 BP 50 in the falcon and back out.

In my haste I didn't downhaul it enough. It would rotate ok gybing but by now I was pretty stuffed ( out c 3hrs) so I was just stopping and turning around..Then it was a bugger to pop..Frown At least the fin held and I enjoyed the gusts on the smaller kit but I had new harness lines on and they were too long so my arms were spaghetti from taking the pressure in the lulls. I'll have to shorten the plastic tubing so I can shorten them..

It's great having new gear but there are so many things to get used to!UndecidedEmbarassed

I put dakine rearstraps on the isonic to replace the drake but rather than get used to that as well I preferred to take out the trusty old falcon as it usually fits like a glove..Smile

It was great fun if you could grab a long enough gust in the flats but it was generally pretty hard to get a long enough one.

Started out just Andrew and I then Norm , Pete and then when it started to come in the Jordans, Bruce , Tibor , Bill , Milsy and other assorted bods..
