Looks like no wind but what was the lake like to windsurf?

Went to give my daughter a go then a southerly blew in about 12-15 kts Before some lightning hit and I packed it in. The lake works ok but has a few sandbars and reminds me of Narabeen lakes but open directly to the ocean. Long way from home.

I was there a couple of times years ago, usually the forecast is good but does not deliver. I launched from and camped at the sport grounds, there are toilets and water
