sboardcrazy (24454km): 5 kts N am session - 5-15kts NE pm session Peel st Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 7.5m GT turbo- RS4 ( 111ltres) - 24 cm FF then 87ltre isonic with 24FF + 7.5m Got there too late for the am session. It died as I hit the water but thinking it might be as good as it got I went out for a float. Noticed it had swung more Ne as I got back and after lunch went out as the guinea pig..Weird.. patch of decent ( 12-15kts NE halfway across below the flats then patchy 0-5kts N on the other side. Slowly came in and got some fun runs below the flats. Everything felt too draggy in the glass - maybe not enough wind to lift the board up enough to free it? Anyway some fun runs although a lot of drag meant I was getting a sore lower back ( unusual)..decided to try the 87ltre isonic with the 7.5m to try and get some decent speed..1st try with the 7.5m..The wind had died by the time i got back out and I didn't really get a decent puff.. Fun gybing in the flats and the best sail I've had for a while. Mid April and overheating in boardies and a rashie.. Heaps of big fish.. one mullet leapt over the front of my board.. Norm , Nigel , Milsy , Macca , Alwyn, Wayne , Ray and Tibor , Bruce , Paul and maybe Mike further down foiling..Andrew was out on his own for the morning session before I launched.
