sboardcrazy (24418km):  15-23kts SSW Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU 5.7m OD - 80ltre isonic - 16cm kestrel I wanted a easy sail today so I rigged the 5.7m. I was underpowered and had trouble getting upwind . Nicely powered in the gusts although it was patchy. There was more wind upwind so I tried to get there but didn't have much luck. Really enjoyed gybing in the flats.I was going to try for alphas but I lost so much ground each time I just worked straight back upwind after. Only did one bearaway. Wish I'd hung around out there for another 15mins as it would have been a great run back. 6.2m would have been a better match. Still I had fun and survived to sail another day.. Lyds and Norm out early then just me for most of the session. I was a good wind sacrifice as it kicked in just after I came in.
