Cottesloe, Dutchies

Tested the speed of my big waveboard - removed the side fins. Actually went downwind pretty well, heaps of fun.

Might try again moving the footstraps out and with a cammed sail and faster fin (if I can find one that goes in a US box).

Figured I don't need my 2012 Isonic 107 - anyone interested?

Couldn't get my eye in today for the nautghy run, JJ did well to find a line through some very messy chop. I was the afternoon shift as by the time I got down to dutchies JJ had finished. Tommorow should hopefully be better for a proper run at the naughty.

Pretty good on the big gear. Felt pretty solid most of the time.

Some familiar faces enjoying the sunshine.

Fun blast at Peli.  It looked pretty fresh when I arrived around 3:30, and I was tempted to rig a 7.0, but I'd left my 430 mast at home, so I ended up with the M112 + 7.6 TR9 + 33 CL SL2 combo, which was about right.

Went for a mile straight off the beach.  Pretty junky chop on the run down to the freeway, so happy to get a high 29.  Ran out of pressure at the end or I would've cracked a 30.

After that I went for a few bearaways off the point, but the breeze started to back off and I could only manage 31s and 32s.

All round a fun sesh.  Breeze died at the end and I had to grovel back in.

Another fun afternoon. Good to see Lunny, Tim and Ben.

I think we can call that an anticlimatic experience - huey houdini strikes again.

Wind dropped off not long after I hit the water. Changed to a larger board and the wind was pretty much gone. Came back in after about 30mins but I had a couple of nephews visiting for a windsurfing lesson.

Thanks Mark for offering to lend me the kids rig.
