Checked out Keef's new peanut speed board. Gybes nicely apparently, got to be the side cut, all boards will be of this design next season. Pretty fast for so little wind.
I was on the old Naish hybrid with a 6.7 and flexy weed fin.

4790 days ago Lake Illawarra, NSW, AU light westerly new custom 5/8 n/p rss 23 weed fin, light westerly with a few good gusts, good to catch up with Ian k and second time on the water for the new board, thanks to Ian's sharp eye and totally unknown to me" as we all know a lot of great inventions start out as unknown mistakes?" well as it goes ian was sticking his eye over the board and noticed it looks like a peanut after a few second looks i agreed well while driving home im thinking well its a fast peanut but peanuts don't look fast, so I'm thinking there mite be something in this new shape and trying to think as you do when your driving ,you know asking and answering all the questions, the only thing i could come up with after studying a peanut on the net then the penny dropped, WOW peanuts have CONCAVES and concaves are fast, after studying a few more peanuts i noticed that there all different, like some have deep concaves and some don't have much at all so i guess there must be a few slow ones , then im thinking it turns ok as well , ill do a bit more research on the net and have a look at a few aeronautical sites and see what they come up with
i knocked the board up in 3 weeks for burrum but as we all know burrum didn't happen
