4783 days ago Pete already out but I had difficulty getting going through on shore wind. Landed on spit to walk round then noticed I forgot to clip boom closed so was 12cm shorter than intended. Reset sail then going find, Doh. OK powereed with long runs. Sea less choppy then Felixstowe. When wind picked up went into lagoon, flat but bit sheltered. As tide dropped got stuck in mud and knackered dragging kit through knee deep mud. Thought I was never going to escape. Me and kit now stink.

4783 days ago A sneaky hour on the water during lunch time. Very gusty and steep ramps covered the whole lake! I've never spent so much time unintentionally airborne on slalom kit, especially whilst trying to get my feet into the straps or hook in! The gusts were very powerful but there was nowhere safe to bear off... it was pure survival conditions. I'd have been more comfortable on a smaller sail but I left my 4.7 and 5.1 at home after seeing a forecast of 15-18 knots. I'll take my freestyle-wave tomorrow and if it's the same conditions I'll work on my forwards instead. :)
