Lucky Bay, very up and down and a little frustrating, went out with a 6.5 came in after a bit and rigged the 5.5 which I just couldn't seem to get any power out of. I'm sure the specs give too much downhaul. I need a smaller fin too. Frown Oh well, you get that! Whinge over.

First decent session in a while, and my body is hurting as a result.

5.8 had a broken batton, so I rigged the 6.6 and put on 3kg of weight (worked pretty well). Felt like I was fighting the sail most of the time.

I tuned the sail for the wild chop in the middle of the bay, but found I was underpowered off the wind. Let out about 2cm of outhaul and bang... an extra 2 knots straight away. I need an adjustable outhaul deperately.

Good to see plenty of Pinna's out today.

Session went like this, got there (L Bay)blowing a bitSurprised rig 5.8, on water, no condition what so ever (bodyEmbarassed) breeze dropped out a bit, bit up and down some times on the plane, most times not, thought go in re-rig, then thought, hang in there, and was rewarded with some good strength, but alas, by then I was too tin fruitedFrown to take advantage of it. Ran into Marcel, and Chris, Patrick, was there some place, Marcel tried to point him out but we got to cited and took off on a gustSmile

Total nackered after that session. Had second half of day off work so thought I would have a long session. Very difficult wind conditions. Struggled the whole time so I changed gear alot. I was using 26 and 28 FO weedies to start with and I found they just couldn't handle the chop.. had some really hairy moments and a few mega crashes.... snapped a harness line... made a quick trip down to 2nd wind for some new ones.

Wind dropped so I rigged a 7.5 and decided to keep the 28 FO on for about and hour - very hard to get any traction on the rear. Got upwind with the bagged out 7.5 and tried to go broad - but every time I hit chop things turned very bad... so bad that I punched a hole through my sail... Yell. Changed to a 34 MFC weedy.... got the control back but the speeds went down.

Had a chat with Mike on the water. I freaked him out as he approached me I was kneeling down in the water between runs then stood up in calf deep water... Don't think he thought it was that shallow. Smile

By the end I was totally nackered. Good to have a beer after a sesh like that... very sore right now!!!

Goya fxr 105, FO weedy 26/28 and MCF34 Weedy, Ezzy 6.5 then 7.5.

Strapper 88 litre, Loft Blade 6.8, JP 31cm weedy.  Picture taken on my phone when I rigged up:

First time at Lucky Bay, spent the afternoon chasing the SRM around.  Peak was following 25 as he bore off, I realised that I hadn't been bearing off as much as I should have been doing... if you get the chance follow a quick guy and watch what they do!  Also pleased to see Slowboat, Snides, Claude and Chris Porter having a blast Smile

Many thanks to Mineral for lending me a batten for my Blade, the new batten should arrive in a week or two.

Well pleased with my alpha, I was smashing those gybes out today, the whole rig felt really balanced.  I put on heaps of downhaul on the blade today, it really felt nice Laughing

Hey guys. Sorry I wasn't able to back up. Well done Patrick on another PB. Good distance Marcel and top speed dog! A nice set of numbers Nebs.

Got to Hardies and saw two people out shlogging. Went to Avi bay and there was a small wave reforming on the inside of the reef. Good fun for 35 mins before big black clouds appeared. Packed up and raced back to Hardies only to find no wind. Went home and then the deluge hit, rain, thunder and lightning. Bugger.
