Stansbury, SA, AU South 12-17knots

AB67+, NP 6.2 Saber, 33 akuni weedy. then Sputnik

On the water by 2 and sailed around for an hour before Tricky and Pete arrived. The AB67 was underfinned so swapped to the ever reliable Sputnik and settled in for km's.  Was soon overtaken by the Kinetic, KA6.6 rig Tricky was using and he was faster on port and starboard tacks, was sailing well. Was faster than the combo Pete was using ( fanatic Falcon) and Pete was enjoying the conditions as well. The forecast was for the wind to pick up steadily to 25knots by about 8 and by the time i came in at 7.30 it was nearly there. Great sail today with the guysSmile.

Wow what a sail solid sea breeze pretty steady 18-20knts, I was just not up for it, 2 weeks driving tractors had made me soft, was stuffed after the first 30 minEmbarassed but I did hang out & got a 2nd wind to keep Jeff company as he was  Sailing like he was possessed making out like Iron Man knocking out the Km's. I pike'd it at 7pm 30 min before the low tide = flat water and the forecast best wind  Jeff just kept on going (Carl better watch out might have a new energizer bunny) & had some smoking runs! Did blitz Jeff on the reaches in & out but did not have the stamina to knock out the big numbers. Stopping & talking/resting never helps the hour time Embarassed

Sounds like a serious session Jeff.  Well done.

PJ - straight back on the water after race day!  Hard unit.  I was shot and could barely get off the couch on Sunday.  Even if I wanted to, I had worn two big holes in each hand, so sailing was not possible.  And it looks to me you can turn that Mistral around just fine!

Trousers on race day I was using the Fanatic board - it is easier to gybe althought the Mistral was better turning with 7 m onboard:-)
