Windfoil, Foilville

Round 2 with the homemade wings and also did a trade to get the carbon version of the JP 135

I guess its going well so farLaughing The pro model JP feels that bit more nimble than the wood.

Heres todays embarrassing moment story.

So here i am enjoying the new sail, board and foil wings, well aware that there was a boat dropping crab nets in the most awesome of spots.

Hmm i was thinking it was a shame they werent spaced and placed a bit more obvoius with brighter floats, but hey its quite within their rights to drop the nets, i should be careful.

Later in the session i came within roughly 10mt of a well placed float, then there were arms, legs and gear coming to a sudden halt.

Problem with me is i sometimes go a bit psycho when threatened with death or injury so i not so politeley let them know that their ropes were too long.

Few minutes later i though these guys dont seem to care as there was no effort to shorten them so good old psycho went back and fed some more expletives, then i realised the skipper was a work collegueEmbarassed

Hmm well thats embarrassing. Just a few scratches, dented sail and dented ego........stupid crab potsLaughing

Had a nice walk when the wind dropped off to about 10 knots and I only had the small wing up.

Changed to the big wing and it booted to 18-20 - good fun Laughing

That was an unexpected and good session. Picked up for a bit was pretty nice but too many boats. It's getting dangerous ot there and you really need to watch out for the big boats. They set their course and hammer along at 30 knots..scary stuff and it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt ( or worse)

Doing high speeds (as in N miles)  in the river is dangerous with boats around so take care guys.

Haha !  Lunny ,I saw those guys pulling their pots over there, super long lines. It's becoming an obstacle course out there these days.

To top it off we had a 'Bouncy Castle' and huge office party at Pelican point which was all roped off so that was the start of the obstacle course.

Shoulda stayed VinceWink

Nice speeds on the foil Lunny! Unlucky about the workmate, it’ll all blow over, hopefully he shortens his lines though! Seems like it got better after I had finished. Glad at least you scored it Neil. The late sesh seems to be working recently.

Craig I've worked with some real drongos, sometimes they just need to be told otherwise they'd never know they're f-wits, just saying WinkLaughing

Wait another week Bob and they'll all migrate down to Mandurah  with their boats eskies maximum allocation of crab nets with 3km of rope each for 4m deep water, Occasionally some will use vissible floats, a lot will use clear bottles. Time to practice jumps
