Launched at the pond but noticed later there were still plenty launching at Carlisle st.

Sure is gusty in the pond, much better breeze outside and rather choppy today.

Saw Roger out there who looked like he was on a mission.

Played with the trim again today, much more comfy in the chop at full flex plus i got better speeds on full flex today with the dodgy chop.

It just felt like i could put full effort into bearing away in the rough without as much worry with hitting the chop the wrong way.

Melville Beacuh, WA,

Just a quick sail betwen Christmas engagements (Bah Humbug). Good to see the usual suspects blasting, Nick, Tim, Mark etal. A quick note for Revolution Boardsports who replaced my broken battens gratis and told me about the technique for removing broken batten ends known by just a few Nepalese Gurus. Someone needs to rake up those three weedbergs!

Since I didn't have a work christmas party to go to this year I decided to do a river cruise. Downwinder to Peli pt then back up to Pt Wally. In between, the harness line decided to unharness, luckily after I had crossed the rotto ferry and a power cruiser. What started as a calm day on the river soon changed up a gear and the combo was now starting to tail walk in some of the bigger gust. Couldn't be bothered changing down sail sizes so did a few runs with the 98l which proved to be a terrible combo in these conditions. Called it a day and enjoyed a few beers instead.

Nice little blast at Peli today. The gear felt heavy after being on smaller kit last few days. Always nice to hit the water though. Damn yachts made the water state pretty average but some boats on an average trim made some fun ramps. I saw Ricey on the water out and about, didnt get a chance for a yarn though.

Used the 7.1 today on a fairly soft mast, great for the low wind range not so great for the top end, back to using the proper mast. Catch up with Tim and Mark everyone doing the speed runs, I think Woody cane out on top nice little run, I did try to better it even bought out the little 59 Manta improved the speed by a smidge but not good enough on the day.

Nice speed in chop Craig - I also find the WT57 faster on full flex when it's choppy Smile

Can you cross the sandbank ok in the middle of the NM run?

First you need to assume the lotus position during a full moon and contemplate your navel...

... then when your return from the chiropractor, obtain a length of tube slightly larger than the batten, slide it into the sleeve and over the batten, bend the tube a little so it grips the batten and pull it out.

JJ that sandbank is pretty shallow these days. You'll be lucky to cross it unless you're a ways out
