Byron Mcilveen (63644km): Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU S2 venom 6.3, falcon 89, select v max 31 just did some tuning as have not had a chance with the 6.3 as not used it. wow doing over 34 in open lack chop felt like doing 44 it was full on allthough the gust were not big enough to fully wind up and you were out of it. didnt want to get scunked again like yesterday by going to Budgie allthough I certainly thought about it. off to work now
sboardcrazy (24418km): 5- 10kts occ puff 15-20kts one gust to 25kts WSW - Sw Buff Pt Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.46 5.5m Mach2 - 80ltre iso- 18cm tribal delta Morning sail. I'm still crook so I didn't fancy battling the forecast strong stuff in the afternoon. Rigged conservatively because of the forecast. Could have used 7m - 87ltre and still have been off the plane a lot. Not enough to plane much so did an Andrew and stood around and waited for puffs. Only scored one ok gust early on when I was near some flat stuff. Bottoming out with the rigflip on the E gybes and touching the bottom occasionally when slogging. My gybing was crap today. foot slipping off the side , foot slipping off the back , flipping the rig too early on the E side and running aground. No excuses , flatwater and not overpowered... I did redeem myself with the alpha . Lousy numbers but a nice gybe just no wind on the exit. Some decent planing wind helped.. Feels like I've stood on something sharp. My foots pretty sore. Hopefully it won't get infected. Bruce and Andrew sitting in the carpark waiting for the wind to come up and me to get thrashed as a sign it was worth coming out.. I came in early so they didn't get the show.. They were going out as I derigged. It looked like it was coming in and Andrew set off across the channel but fell in due to lack of wind and then bodydragged all the way across to the otherside. His arms will be stuffed!
Bruce Healey (24088km): Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU OK day with Andrew and Mike. CASP44, 5.6, 16MUF

Andrew Haigh (48982km): Buff Pt, Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU CA44 and 5.4. Had limited time so rigged to the forecast of 30-40kts, but only got 10-20 Ended up way to southerly Would have been OK on a 90 litre board with 6.2m |
