Liptons WA

Nice early morning session down at Liptons on the Windtech CM and 6.1 Loft Speedblade. Some pretty big gusts coming through from the fronts but not a lot of flat water around due to tide. Ant turned up for a short session but sounds like he should have stayed at the pond in Safety Bay. Hope you've thawed out now Ant! Met Rocky and had a good chat with him. Back to work now.

Peel Inlet, WA, AU

Super quick session at liptons, had way to much power in the chop and hard to control in the gusty conditions.Froze my blks off and lost the mojo by the time Dan and Rocky got out.Had warmed up by the time i got back to safty bay and had a fun sail in the safe pond with Jim and with no kites out :))

Safety Bay, WA, AU.  Headed to Liptons as Antman said he and Crismon Flash were sailing there early.  Got there to see Antman giving up and Dan chugging in the lulls and overpowered in the gusts and it was fairly lumpy plus cold too.  Rigged 6.5 and super strong gusts came through, plus unknown sailor rigged 5.8 and was fanging well so chickened out and planned to rig 5.7.  Antman said he was heading back to the pond at Safety bay as looked way better so decided to join him. No kiters there which was good. Was feeling pretty strong and sea breeze was reporting crazy high wind speeds so rigged 5.7 and instantly regretted it as was undercooked the whole time.  Got a few runs in but many lulls that resulted in balancing acts. Was first time checking out the speed run there, never realised it is so deep so close to the sand.    Then wind died off completely and a bunch of kiters came out so headed home.

Back home, read Anitas undated forecast and kicking myself for not checking it at Safety Bay.  Considered heading back to Liptons but Melville was showing green arrows so went to check it out.   Had a very pleasant gentle sail in the sun, wind was a bit all over the place as is normal.  Will be interesting to see if anyone sailed Liptons in the afternoon.    5.7 RRD Move, 104 RRD FRW, 22FF
