Point Grey, WA, AU. Arrived to a nice steady 15knots so rigged 7.8.  Just as was about to launch wind picked up to about 18knots but went out to try anyway.  Went out with the big FF28 as hadn't tried that combo.  Was overcooked and the big fin was sketchy in the weed and dredging in the gybes so after 10km of hard work came in to rig 6.5 and smaller fin.   Was much nicer for 30 mins or so so and thought would try an hr but then wind died off a bit. Had gone out in the winter wet suit as felt cold and looked like rain but the sun was out and currently being cooked.    Watched the realtime hour o meter and kept going till it stopped going up then headed back up wind to the car park.   On last gybe to return to car park a gust came in and thought I would ride it out...to my surprise the GPS was reading 33 something....damm, felt like nothing and on my big plank...tried a few more times then thought should try for a NM, first attempt wind wasn't happening so tried again, was ok but rough as for the last bit, so rough my eyeballs and GPS were jiggling around so much could not make out distance on display so gave up trying and just kept going.  Chop got too bad and had a bad spin out but managed to keep going and get back in control.   Just as gybed the camera decided to die as the most monumental squall hit.   Was as good/bad as those squalls experienced on chook pond.  Probably should have waited till the sqaull hit but I aint Slowboat.   Started walking back as was far too epic to contemplate sailing but after 5 mins became sailable again.   Was pretty good conditions so surprised I had the place to myself.    Should have brought the small boards but wasn't expecting anywhere near these winds.  Would have been awesome in the patch of water below the Cay but since sailing by myself didn't risk going there.   120 Tabou Rocket, 7.8 then 6.5 Severne Turbo, FF28 then 22FF

Foilville.

FTY foil board + race foil + 7.0 TR9.

Late start, on the water just before 5.

Pretty lit in the gusts, which were well over 20K, but mostly they seemed to coincide with me going uphill, so didn't manage any big speeds.

Had a big off in one gust and put my elbow through the luff pocket, so my trusty old TR9 needs some TLC Cry

Breeze died around dusk, when I was over near Peli, so I had a long slog home in the twilight, but all in all it was a pretty fun sesh. Cool

Great scores all round Jim and congrats on the PB.

The boom mount GPS displays look pretty handy.

Sailing buddy claims he was working on what appears to be some sort of fancy flux capacitor hyperdrive system (might be wrong, could just be his AC his wife has said needs to be fixed before he's allowed out again). Judging by the amount of unmarked loose wires I'm guessing we won't be seeing posts anytime soon though.  Pity, as tomorrow looks good.   Nice change of Avatar Waricle.
