895 days ago Liptons with a lot of expectant crew, think every body rigged too small and was dissapointed. Wind was howling on the ocean not much more than a kilometer away, but didn't quite do it at Liptons.
I had the 5.2 speed on the 48cm board with 20cm@40/60 fin. Also the wind was strongest in the channel, fadding at both ends as it hit the smooth.
And for those interested in my first run out, it was the 3rd best 10s and 4th best 2s at 30.443, so I wasn't going as fast as it looked.

Looked windy to start with hence the 6.4m, just kept dropping whilst out.
Just back and forth bor sends, peak speed in the channel.

Huey didn’t deliver and I was severely undercooked. I kept the same fin on which was to be my reference and kept waiting for it to kick in, but no go. A big crowd out, I counted 9 sails and the same number of ,kites. Good to catch up wth the locals and visitors and a short relaxing sail with the guys. Another top day. 👍😆

895 days ago Fangyland Day four and no gas left in the tank. I really wasn’t sure what the was going to happen with the breeze, so I went small so that if it did come in I wouldn't be overcooked. My carcass was getting sore just carrying my stuff down to the water! Of course Huey didn't want to party, so I ended up cruising up and down along the weed edge and having one of the most enjoyable arvo’s. Underdown but happily planing alll the time. No speed or indeed anything to write home about, but I had a brilliant time on the water. The Avalon 6.3 single cam is such a joy of a sail to use, and paired with the FF18V4 it was ticking all the boxes.I am really liking this fin. Defo Top Ten Fangy Day for just loving this gig.

895 days ago Peel Inlet, WA, after the mast plug exploded on my 6.3 rigging and the best efforts of waricle and Alby to get a new plug in,defeat was accepted and rigged the 7.0 instead.Was a bit of a blessing in disguise as the wind was dropping,sail was a bit to big for the little RRD but made do till the wind dropped again and I was nearly swimming.
