Fangyland with a good sized mob. Enjoyed myself in the light stuff, but ended up munting my proto fin just as the breeze finally kicked in.

I was heading up into the Gravel pit at the Creery end crossing paths with a kiter who had starboard rights. I decided to give way and go below him, but every time I bore away to give him more room, he seemed to just keep coming downhill. I was probably overly cautious, but I am never sure with kiters when they are suddenly going to jump and drift down on top of you. The end result was; I was pinching hard and ran out of board speed right on top of the Gravel pit.  Unfortunately, the brief introduction to the real estate was enough to fracture the trailing edge and wear off a good centimetre of the tip. Bad habits with ally fins don’t translate well to the prototypes…
After being brought undone by a kiter, I wasn’t sure things could get any better. Then Sammy went past with the biggest sail I have ever seen him use, yelling something like “Ton ventre est plus gros que ma voile. “... sigh. The body shaming never ends in the Manboob mob, but at least Bully boy Fat Basil was too distracted by his new Radix to get really stuck into me.
Anyhoo at that point the wind started to pick up, but my little fin just wasn’t able to cope with the 7.8 any longer and I ended going side ways too often. Decided to call it a day and save some go go juice for the next few days.

Patrik 100, NP RSR E6 6.4m, JP weed 31cm, Nemesis 30cm.

Plenty of wind when I got there, not so much afer I rigged.

Describing today in one word...inconsistant.

Breeze was wafting in and out, holes all over the place and swinging about. Spent a fair bit of time waiting for it to waft back in.

Towards the end the breeze appeared a bit more consistant but still nothing to be enthused about.

Happy with the speedsand alpha in the lumpy goodness.

Light wind cruise in good company. After starting with the Windtech  57 I had enough wind to try the Tribal 53. Found it easy to start and sail so that at least I have nort embarassed myself by getting  board that I could not manage at all.

I have great hopes for better speeds in deent wind.

Rig small... noooot, went out with the 5.8 and I was crawling!! Hoping wind picked up... noooot

Back to shore setup the 7 which is the biggest I ever sail!! For me its battleship gear, first time I use that E5-7.0 had it for years, dont remember where and when bought it, that thing felt powerful and not too bad on the 65 board. Will have to try one day on a smaller board.

Not a fast session but nice to get the exercice Cool

Well that was fun, rigged for comfort after the last disaster session.

Used the 65cm board for the lulls, 6.2 Koncept to handle the gusts, with 22cm@ 55 deltoid.

This worked really well, I got planning early was only off the plane for about 5min, reverse of the other day, when I only planned for 5min.

A lot of the sailing was in the magic sweet spot, finger tips on the boom doing 20+knots in the flat.

Started in the outside run where the wind was stronger, but as tide came in this got choppy, and I was spinning out on the upwind runs. So went to the inside run, and had some longer runs in flatter water.

Laughing yeh Fangy I just read your comment ah ah ah, I never said "your belly is bigger that your sail"  I said RIG BIG RIG BIG

and for the kiter, dont bother giving priority, there are pest, what ever you do they will follow so they can jump on the front of you, this happen twice at cods in my last few sessions, first time I gave him the finger, 2hd time I gave him the fist and said stay away from me...
