Boombas, WA, AU Windxtasy made me do it.  Wasn't planing on sailing as forecast pretty sketchy but Anita wanted to sail and said it might be last warm sunny sail for a while and she needed a sailing buddy.  Since no wind for the last few weeks made the gamble.   Seemed to be promising on way down, pretty much didn't use any fuel as was blown by significant 20kt tail wind with the trees suggesting a way better session than forecast.  On arrival, the wind promptly dropped but have never seen so many black swans in on place...must have been multiple thousands of them.  Seemed such a pity to disturb them, but these were desparate times.   Rigged the big guns and was chug fest and was cursing Anita for talking me into this when the wind picked up a few knots and a very pleasant cruise around in the sun.  The swans weren't so happy and departed, wished had a camera as was pretty spectacular.   Anita came out and she was planning ok so was look'n peaches.   I tried for a naughty which started off ok averaging 24kts or so but slowly but surely towards Austin bay the breeze was dying.   Gybed and saw that Anita was kinda following me, she dropped the gybe and stayed there.   I cruised about happily and after 20 mins or so saw she was still standing there so decided to go check.   She was standing in chest deep water (thanks to the high tide) without an uphaul rope (board looked big enough to uphaul on) and not enough breeze to water start.   Since this place is famous for wind that is hero to zero headed back to the car park to get a spare uphaul rope and a tow rope as was looking like a 2km chest deep walk for her otherwise.  Since there was little wind getting back took some time but just as got to car wind pickd up and Anita had manged to get going.  Went out again and cruised about happily waiting for Anita to dig herself upwind and get back to the car park.   Nice day out in the end and glad I didn't have to do a tow.  iSonic117, SvT8.6, TWS33

Glad to have given you something to write about.

Actually I didn't even get to gybe. What happened was the wind dropped right out toward the end of the nm, and my feet were stuck in the straps so the board rounded up and dumped me in, so I couldn't even stay on the board and chug.
