10-25kts wnw Peely Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.4m

5.5m Mach2 - RS1 ( 80ltres) - 20cms Atomic

I went today because it was only supposed to be about 16kts and I wanted a nice easy practise. It was 5-10kts gusting 5 - 15kts for a few hours and i was just about to rig the 7.5m - 112 when it kicked in.

Bruce & Mike had a good 30mins while I rigged up. They flew down the other end. By the time i got out I was sinking and had to sit and wait for a puff to dog down..Almost got the 90 ltre but I got a good gust on the 1st run and hit some flatter water for 30kts..

A lot of sinking and dogging but that combo was great in the stronger stuff.

Got one mega gust and went for it down past the point in flatter water ( 5" chop) for the 2sec.

Best I've had for a while so I'm happy. Laughing

Played it safe and no gybes as either a balancing act or maxed out.

Started to get patchy so I called it.

I'm hooked again.. Tongue out

Mike , Bruce and I then Matt and another sailor.

Jimmy's beach, nsw. Quite happy with that. Comfortably surviving winter westerly on the foil. Good progress for me to handle a bit more wind. Up and down, wnw, started out with 7.5 when it was 5kts gusting 12, ok, then a bigger gust, yeah nah. Back in quick smart for the 5.3. JP 135, slingshot ghost 101 foil. Sussing out the board where to run mast base. Wind about 18kts by then, maybe 20kt gusts. I finished by 230, then it booted over 20.
Mobdog left early after no success, finding later he had his foil mast in backwards Laughing
Closer again to flying gybes. So looking forward to getting those and not stopping.
The bay is sloppy in west wind but behind winda woppa it’s flat enough. Trying hard to crack 20kts, was sure i was doing it but nope. Exciting.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU NW 12-18 knots + with the bullet gust. Great to be back on the water after a lengthy spell off with the rain. Bear, Glenn, Barry and I took in the fun. Levi 150 G 800 Naish 5.0

Thanks.Hopefully another go in more wind tomorrow!

Someone's got a red face ( mast in backwards). Only reason I've never done it is Dave from the shop said ' think of the mast like a fin..sharp edge at the back 'Wink

As I was derigging a kid on an unregistered trailbike went past on the cycleway. He was showing off and hit a wet patch and crashed..I laughed out loud..Made my day..Laughing
