My first session since 1st May, and an interesting one it was. Set off in sunshine, and had a cruisy session, everything felt just nicely balanced. I remebered how to sail and even completed some dry if not elegant gybes. Afer 20 K I thought that was probably enough for my level of unfitness, and decided to head back to the carpark from just off the point between Austin Bay and Roberts Bay. Then the wind decided it would play games and swung a lot west during a total whiteout so you couldn't see where you were going. I knew I was heading to the right shore, just didn't know where along that shore I would end up. Despite sailing as upwind as possible I ended up deeo in Roberts Bay. When the rain cleared the wind decided it had enough and just stopped blowing. I then had to try to sail multiple upwind legs in about 3 knots to get back to the car. Those last 5 km took about as long as the first 20, and were nowhere near as much fun. That's frontal sailing for ya.

A good workout and good to catch up with some of the gang.

Roll on seabreezes!

Great to see you back on the water Anita. I lost my bearings in the white out too. When it cleared l realised it was a long way back to the car.
