Lovely surprise! 6-13 knots  of S/SE at the club. Out with  LeanneKevin and Ian. Unfortunately my friend Àkos  has just missed out. He is in the air towards Europe  right now.

Rathies, NSW, AU. 5.7 Hydra 1250. Bit of a dodgy wind in Rathies bay. Inconsistent, bit on and off. Worth rigging for though.

Wing No 23 Rathmines Point, NSW, AU

 5- 12kts SSE

5m Naish Matador - 130ltre Fone - 1800 front wing

Some of the wingers suggested Rathmines for a learner mainly SE - E . It's a lovely spot.Smile

Well I tried.

Onshore breeze , waves ( only 30cms but made it hard) and not enough wind.

I was keen to build on the small bit of foiling I did last time. I found it exhausting falling off all the time.

I was getting up standing until I got tired. The one turn I did was staying kneeling.

I couldn't turn ( back to videos to learn what to do with the wing).

I suppose I managed to work up and got foiling once.. Wobbled from side to side for a few wobbles and fell off. I'm starting to be able to pump the wing and board when there is enough wind..

It was starting to pick up a bit but I was too tired. zzzz

I think I'll stick to flatwater Belmont until I can get up and stay up on the foil. Pity as rathmines is a lot closer to home and a better drive.

Tony arrived to Windfoil as I came out. I was tempted to get the big fin kit out but the big board doesn't point subplaning. Tony said it wasn't much good anyway.

Jimmy's beach, nsw. Winda woppa wingn'. Skywing 94, Naish matador 6.0, 1300/400. 12-15kts SE
Similar to yesterday, only half enthusiastic due to funky hazy SE but got keen enough to wip out the wind ding kit. Mobdog tried on his windfoil, another winger and not too bad atall.

SE 5-15 knots

Mikes Lab, Neil Pryde 6.4m Slalom, Axis 1099.

Tried to avoid mistakes from Saturday so went for a little bit more power and a lot more foil.

Turned out to be the right choice for once in very testing conditions.

Big gusts, lulls, 30 degree wind shifts between the bays and a lot of waves, both wind and power boat generated.

Learnt a bit more by following the higher level sailors and got some good feedback on why my 50% jibes aren't 60% yet.

A top 5 Alpha which is still pretty ordinary, but happy with the other numbers in bumpy conditions.

Good afternoon session with Tibor, Ian, Leanne, the Gybemaster and a friendly hammerhead on a leisurely cruise.

Wind today was like the wax in the karate kid movie. Wind on .... wind off.
