5 hours ago Coodanup, WA, AU Well that was very unexpected! Thought I was going to have a leisurely sail with the sail loaned to me by Remery…..instead the wind went nuclear. Perfect for speedsters… but too much for me. Spent most of the time walking back and forth through the weed..once to go out with 6.0, then de rig and rig 5.0…then just gave up! Tomorrow is another day SFox 105, Turbo 6.0, Ncx 5.0 and Maui fin. Great to catch up with everone.

5 hours ago Melville sailed with Boz, Darryl,Jay,Anthony,Jim, Steve and half a dozen others
not much speed today, i was getting 25knots across the wind 26knots on slightly broader angle
i only went off the wind twice, but only very short bursts of 50 mts, could not line up a gust at the right time
i was happy to be able to hang onto a 5.8 mt sail in the 20-25 knot gusts some slightly higher

Late to the party. So many obligations associated with the nortehrn hemispheres longest night, messes with what could be a great time of year to relax down under.
The Melville beach bar had opened not long before I got on the water. Sure looked like there was plenty of wind left but I struggled to find enough drive and the board / fin felt draggy. Thought I would check out the closed beach. Wind wasn't bad over there and plenty of south in the breeze for it to make it's way up black wall reach. Looks like some of the weed burgs from point walter have migrated to Melville. Nice to see some others smiling after their sessions.
Fantastic to get some TOW amongst all the mid winter commitments.
