Fun sesh at Coods in solid wind.
CA53 + 6.3 SCR + 16 Delta.
Looks like I was well off Ant's pace, but it was a still a good sesh, I just couldn't find any speed.
Plenty of smooth to play in, the water state was lovely.

Left home with my son Lucca 15 yrs for his first sail in over a yr. I said it’s forecast for light to moderate so it’ll be a noice cruise. Packed all the big gear and off we went. Arrived to a light breeze with loads of flats and Maree had the wind mtr at 12 to 14 knts. So rigged Lucca on da 5 mtr sail and 125 ltr board and told him to walk 300 mtrs to a reasonable depth because the tide was sooo low. Off he went . I rigged the 7.7 on da 116 ltr and while rigging I could feel the wind picking up, about to hit the water and Maree and Doddi call out yep 22knts on the wind mtr and I look out in the distance to see Lucca about to start his first run . He doesn’t have a harness on as never used one and hasn’t put his feet in the straps yet but keen as. Then he’s off and sending it. Ant and I are watching and couldn’t believe how well he was doing. Anyway off I went and yep the wind was still picking up and the 7.7 felt a bit sketchy so thought I’d come in after only a few runs and rig the 6.3 like most others, doh… no I hadn’t packed the 6.3 so had to go the 6.9 which was ok but couldn’t get any real good speeds but still noice to be on da water with my boy who was loving it. Think he’ll do ok when he’s using the harness and straps 💪
🤞 for tomorrow and I’ll have da small speed gear for hopefully some good naughties 🤞🫡

6th session in a row on th 7.7m, rapid 63/110 and 26 weedmax. A bit more pressure in some of the gusts today, and got powered up a few times. Not overpowered at all. Had a ball! Good to sail with the locals and a couple of cold ones after. Destroyed hands trying to get Jay's 1 piece mast apart hahaha. How many windsurfers does it take to unstuck a mast :)
