Jimmy's beach - windawoppa. Skywing 94ltr, FlyII 5.4, hps830. Nice east breeze which got strong enough later for fin but I was done from the mega wing session. Lot's of turn practice. Some big stacks.
I was pushing for speed on smaller foil than yesterday in more wind but faster yesterday in that slippery Mungo juice. I could notice the extra buoyancy today back in salt water.
At first I had 400 tail in the changed to 325. 75 mast.
Mobdog all alone up the spit. Another windsurfer came out of house at winda woppa and a few learning wings for me to buzz.
Axis foils get called by width, ie hps830 is about 1000cm, is it better I just write the size of foil or what?

 10-17kts E then 14 - 20kts ENE Coal Point, NSW, AU

 6.5m Turbo - WT64 ( 112ltres) - 35cms tectonics weedy

 then WT57 ( 90ltre) - 28cms WT weedy

zzzzzz not quite the sail I was hoping for. I was hoping for some bearaways past the point before the hoards take over the lake.

I was really tired today and had a 30min doze once I arrived. I really needed the 7.2m Moto but it's got a luff tube that fills with water and i really didn't feel like a battle today.

I knew the 6.5m wouldn't be enough but figured the big board should get through the lulls and I could change to the smaller if it came in. The 1st hr I did a plod above the point and back only getting going a few times. Once I got back in front of Coal it kicked in and the last run in was scary and hardwork with the board too big for the chop.

There were lots of boats heading towards Toronto for the Santa run and the cross cruiser wake was 1m washing machine at times.

By the time I got the 90 out I was overpowered .I did one run out the front and didn't enjoy it as I was too powered up and it was too rough..

I wanted to finish on a good note so after a rest I did one last run. I've always thought I couldn't depower the turbos but I found I could a bit going across the wind .

I just kept it relaxed until I saw some flatter water and then went for it. That was a nice way to finish and a good time because soon after all the boat convoy came back past the point.

I hit something out there today .It felt hard ( fish? wood? ) I also spun out which I've never done with the Wt weedies.

The last launch there was a 1m 'fish' underwater  looking at me ..I thought it was a small shark at 1st and got a bit nervous but then it took off. It was as fat as my arm and had a beaktype nose..at 1st I thought it was a garfish but maybe a Pike?

I need to get fitter to enjoy Coal.. I don't know how I used to get 26kts + out there..Undecided

Andrew and Greg on windfoil , Brett , Suzie , Nic and others on wings, Jay on the  fin.
