 5- 25kts - 5-12kts then 12-23kts S Valentine, NSW, AU

 5.7m gator - WT57 ( 90ltre) - 28cms WT weedy

 WT64 ( 112ltre) - 35cms tectonics weedy

 Out 11am - 2.40pm with breaks

 yay! I'm baaack...CoolWink sort of..Undecided

I was really worried about going out today..I felt I was past it and was worried about not being able to waterstart etc..

I decided safety 1st today..( although I got carried away at the end..Laughing )

At 1st there were big patches of 5kts and patches of 15-24kts .

Steve who weighs 30kgs more than me was on a 6m and said he was overcooked in the gusts.

I was overpowered in the strong stuff but I'm getting better at taking it easy . I was going upwind in the gusts and bearaways in the lulls ( not enough power in the lulls. )

Gybes were crap but at least I'm starting to figure out how to get my waterstarts better.

I'm still having issues with the clew going to the bottom of the lake and not wanting to come up..It was suggested I put the back of the board under the boom.

I wasn't sure it would work. Due to my height the back of the board can get caught in the boom or the lines get around the fins..anyway, I managed it once and that helped fly the sail .That was good.

It died to 5 -12kts so I switched to the big board.. got most of my gybes on that which was nice..it seemed to die completely so I went in and derigged the 5.7m and of course it swung and came in a beautiful 15- 23kt S..

I went back out for a few runs. I'm so glad I did . It was bliss! Great fun. Tongue out It's certainly nice when you can just come straight onto the plane , hooked in and lay back and enjoy the ride.

I just need some decent consistent wind..Undecided Got the 2 sec then.. very happy . I was starting to think I'd never get over 26kts again..zzz

Steve M , Lincoln, Steve P after me on fins and stacks of wingers , prone paddleboards , parawings..boats weren't too bad. Too grey and windy for them Laughing

Nerong NSW

SW-S  5-20 knots

Mikes Lab Formula , Sailworks 6m Retro, Axis 1099.

Back at Nerong for the first time since January. Forget how challenging the place is.

Big gusts and big holes, 45 degree windshifts, Ski Boats and Jet Skis.

Nice flat water compared to anywhere else. Made the most of the session with 3 bests at this location.

Less jibing and more tacking due to the proximity of the trees. About 80 manouevres in all.

66 flights in total with the longest being 700m and most runs 250 - 350m.

Looking at showing some relatives how to get started over the next few days.

Should be fun.
