Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Well now....very little breeze. Took the big gear but had to look for the breeze. Amazing how little wind we need to get going and have fun just flying. Don't need much speed to have fun and it was still worth it as usual. Too bad l was on my own.

Coal Point, NSW, AU 4.7 Taka 1250 Flow 115 Stingray. Felt good early but then it picked up and went all weird up in Belmont bay area. Out with Jen Andy and Nicole and some wingers training for next weeks wing national titles doing laps around the lake (very impressive).

Not the best day, broke board leesh, struggled to get back to board, then lost water bladder and finally spotted a shark.

10-18kts NE Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU level 0.22-25m

 sailed 12 - 3.30pm with a short break

 7.2m Moto - RS4 ( 111ltres) - 24cms FF

 then RS2 ( 90ltre) - 22cm Atomic

After getting skunked yesterday I got out super early to avoid any storms. I had the place to myself for the 1st hr or so. A little underpowered but some powered up runs - max 28.7kts.. Not many gybes. I was slack today.

The 2nd shift ( Mike , Bruce , Pugs ) came out and I went in and got my 90 ltre to try and get some better speed. The Moto is good for shallow water powered sailing.

I haven't been so powered for ages . My ankles and calves were aching from holding the power. I felt I was sailing well and board trim was good,  but I couldn't get any decent speed.

I had a ball trying. So much fun tearing down below the weedbed or straight through and getting a gust lift you up , push it back down  and accelerate more . Tongue out

It was starting to get patchy and I thought it was over so I came in.

The late shift - Mick , Fergo , Brian and some others went out. The sun came out and it kicked up a notch!

Going over the bridge it looked 20kts plus. I was wishing I was still out, but I would have had to change down, so maybe not.

Much better than expected. Tongue out

Jimmy's beach. Patrick 120, KArace 6.3 / Ezzy Lion 6.5, 35cm select carbon. Tricky catching a go. Went to wing earlier. Was sunny, reached into car to grab foil and boom, thunder. Mowed the lawn. Ate lunch, Cleared up again. Went out on KA and tried up-hauling it, yeah nah, not easy. Luff full of water up top. I thought I'd be pretty safe using it on the big board and up-haul if I needed but not keen on finding out in the shark pit so swapped to Ezzy. It felt SO light. Not smooth like the race sail in the gusts though. By golly it was gusty by the beach!
Many severe spinouts. The pointer was hard to recover once gone. Hard work.

Bonnells Bay, NSW, AU Duotone 5.4 f4 560 falcon foil It was quite windy and super powered up and not feeling very comfortable but nice to be on the water sailing again. It was so flat and nice to gybe behind shingles.

Sue the perfect conditions come along a couple of times every week. If you choose to windsurf then you will never learn to wing.

Yep..Budgy hasn't had glass for years so I'm not missing that!

I'll have to start going out in SE for the winging.
