Pelican Point, WA, AU

Short sharp sesh at Peli in a brutally gusty sou'wester.

Rocked up 4ish and it looked hot and fluffy, and there were lots of windsurf rigs on the lawn.

Pulled out the 8.0, and rigged the 560 foil, and by the time I was done the breeze had booted in.  Grabbed the 7.0, then the 6.3, and after an hour plus rigging marathon I was finally on the water by just after 5 as the wind went ballistic with 25K+ gusts.

Crossed the river fully sheeted out and went ashore to adjust my harness lines.

Went for a tentative bearaway and managed a 26.

Next run I got smacked by a big gust as I started to bear away and got catapulted...a big smackdown that broke a harness line and my UJ!

Safety rope on the UJ held, so I flipped the rig and made my way in.  I wasn't tempted to rerig, it wasn't very enjoyable.

So from the sublime (Rocko on Sunday) to the ridiculous today, that's foiling Wink

Wannanup, WA, AU (Liptons)

A lonesome session at Liptons today. Couldn't believe no-one else down there except for 1 learner windsurfer + a few kiters. Wind booted in towards the end of my session but was too knackered to make the best of it. Hoping someone else ventured out today for a bit of backup??

Melville

Super late start... looked really good when I got there so I optimistically rigged 7m 110 radix and 32MK3.

Havent used the slalom board on the river this summer so thought it would be fun for a change.

Hit the water at 5:30 and saw the last solid gust of the day move through about 50m away when I was launching... cynically thinking it was probably the last gust- probably that thought made it so hahahaha. Damn you huey.

It was still great fun though. Slalom board is super fun change from the speed board. A bit easier to throw around and get upwind. Was having a ball for almost an hour... Found a couple of very short bullets here and there, and in the middle of the river.
