Checked out a new spot - Launched @ Monaco and sailed the back beach channel.  Nelson, NZ. 

Wind was a sea breeze 18knots NE - This is important as sea breeze NE at Ackerstern can be too broad and gusty also it dies ealier in the day. 

New spot the NE is a couple knots stronger and still cranking at 5:30pm. 

20min walk to launch site, then sailed channel with wind against tide, felt like a conveyor belt taking you up wind .  Tide was very low (0.9m down to 0.7m) so could not get over to Rabbit island so runs were short, only 300m-400m long.  Walk back was a disaster as got stuck in mud  over an hour to get back to the car. 

I think I will visit here again, will bring the speed fin next time and now I know how to avoid the mud!
