Jimmy's beach, nsw. Patrik 120, Ezzy Lion 7.5, 40cm. Just playing it safe all alone, just me and the turtles mowing the grass.
A bit east and outgoing tide, wasn't real flat. Breeze didn't have much punch. It was clear and sunny but quickly the sky covered itself with dark cloud, but no rain or storm.
I think i have a lifteimes worth of footage to get through now, robo cam was tracking, did my best effort handdrags with tongue out. They are best with tongue out.

E 5-12 knots.

FMX 176, NP Flight Evo 111 6.6m, Axis 1099.

Predicted wind never happened. Patchy gusts. Rigged too small. Rookie error.

Ian was charging around on bigger gear.

Some good runs but an 8m sail would have been ideal.

10-17kts NE level 0.35m Budgewoi Lake, NSW, AU

 7.2m Moto - RS4 ( 111ltres) - 24cms FF

 then 7.5m Turbo

Stuffed the 1st bit by rigging too small. the forecast was for it to pickup and there were a couple of good gusts but I was off the plane a fair bit and struggling to get upwind.

I was fristrated with the Moto as it doesn't get me going until it's 15kts and it was mainly 10-15kts.

Stayed out for a while hoping it would get more consistent.

I had my mastfoot right at the back so I thought I'd move it forward to see if that helped me get upwind better. When I looked the ventplug was half undone..Yell

It's designed so if it's undone you can't get the mastfoot in but as it wasn't fully in I had managed to get round that. Undecided

Back in to screw it in and I put the bigger sail on.

At that stage it was Mike , Pete and I.

The others came in as it seeemed to be dying.

2nd shift - It wasn't as strong but it came up enough for the fun to begin! Not enough for bearaways or planing gybes.

The Turbo is lighter , more bottom end grunt and just nicer to use.

The Moto is better in good consistent 15-18kts which we didn't have.

Plenty of nice flatwater. I got the 2 sec with the Moto. Pity we weren't getting the strong gusts when I went back out.

There was me , Fergo ripping on his 135ltre , Brian and the learner from Sydney who is going well.

I'm happy I managed to sail probably the last seabreezes for the season. Smile

The board is out in the sun with a wick..Undecided
