13-22kts S verystrong at times - patchy at others Valentine, NSW, AU

 6.5m Turbo -WT57 ( 90ltre) - 28cms WT weedy ( all stats)

 5.7m gator

WT64 - 111ltres - 35cms tectonics weedy

Well I was starting to think I was past it and I was nervous about going out in stronger winds on the lake. I haven't used the 90 ltre this season and was itching to do some runs.

It was gusting over 20kts when I arrived so I rigged the 5.7m - 90- nowhere near enough . I plodded out , fell in on the gybe and was worried about being stuck out there.. I managed to waterstart and get in.

Decided to get the bigger board and rig the 6.5m.

By the time I was ready it had really kicked in so I went out on the 6.5m - 90.. YEEHAA!!! Tongue out Tongue out

The 90 felt tiny , hyperactive and on the edge compared to the bigger boards.

Cripes really over cooked on the bearaways . Absolutely terrifying crouched down low trying not to get launched..one of these days I'm going to get creamed badly..Undecided

Got all of my outside gybes and very tidy. For some reason I gybe better on the 90 than the bigger board.Undecided No gybes on the inside as most of the time I'd done a bearaway and had to walk back up.

Swapped between sails and boards . Not very long but I'm super happy I got over 26kts again and got my gybes. I wanted to try for a nm but it was a bad angle and too patchy when I wanted to go.

Really buggered after 3 days in a row so not a long session.

I forgot what a buzz going fast in LM chop is..Tongue out still bouncing.

There's still some life left in the old girl..Wink

As I was going upwind spilling wind from the 6.5m in the strong stuff I thought " probably not the best activity for an old bugger with osteoporosis.." Undecided Wink . Still I survived!

I was out with the usual wingers then Luke came later and another guy who was about my weight and had a 130ltre Falcon.. he looked really overcooked!

Valentine, NSW, AU. Initially JP X-Cite 110 and 5.3, then Patrik F Ride 135 and 6.8

I rigged the wrong gear at first but soon realised I needed to upsize the equipment.

Then rigged the 6.8 with the bigger board and had fun with some gybe practice to finish off the afternoon.

Military Jetty, QLD, AU. 120, Ezzy 7.5, 40cm I’m well aware now that it is a reality of the average windsurfer that you turn up for some speed action and quickly realise that that dinger gonna be smokin. I saw Grassy from Sunshine Coast Vikings flying out there upon arrival. Have a look at his numbers and be prepared, he might smoke you too! 🤪 Well i got to try the place, stoked. Seems good and I’m told there’s much more to it still. Gotta conserve energy and didnt bring electric pump. After hand pumping on the beach at Yamba in the hot I’m not keen to rig the blow up again 😳 otherwise it would have been superb winging. But also I was suss on the bottom till I’d been out so went the fin. Mostly planing in super light wind.
