Great to finally get a session in the chook pond this winter.
Arrived to Coods wondering where every body else was, as I was about to leave to grab another coffee then the wasted boys arrived and promptly started rigging with optimism. Wasn't long and the wind imnproved, after a short while playing amongst the weedburgs I snagged a hefty gust, pretty happy with a 37.7 but I couldn't let Ant sail alone so I ventured into the naughty corner. Just enough water for the 25cm weed speed and fortunately the wind held the water in the pond for a few hours despite the falling tide.
Bit of a mix between the main samphire bank or the northern side for best speeds. A devil of a cloud appeared, I went down the run too early, headed back to the northern end and couldn't help myself, grabbed my best speed on the wrong side of the pond and unfortunatly I dropped the gybe and couldn't get going again until the white out was almost over, meanwhile Ant was down at the champions end, hope he made the most of it.
Couple of 39's today, not often I can say that but oh soo close. If only the garmin peak speed counted for somthing. Top ten chook pond day.
