Valentine, NSW, AU, Patrik F-ride 135, Patrik Ride FR 6.8, Select carbon 41

A great afternoon at Valentine with Sue and Mobsy. Just enough wind to make it fun with plenty of gybe practice available.

Patchy 5- 15kts few patches 15-18kts S Valentine, NSW, AU

 Much nicer than yesterday.

6.5m Turbo - WT64 ( 112ltres) - 35cm tectonics weedy 

 one run with 7.5m Turbo at the end but it was over by then.

I wasn't sure what to rig so rigged up the  7.5m Turbo and 6.5m Turbo plus 112ltres WT64 and optimistically the WT57 ( 90ltre) .

 Underdone . Patchier than normal.

I rigged to be comfortable in the gusts 6.5m - 112ltres - 35cms tectonics weedy and it was great  but there weren't enough of them. I got going in the strongest stuff but had to work hard at it. Probably planing 20 % of the time .

 Usually I would have used the 7.2m Moto but it fills with water and I didn't want the pain of uphauling , waterstarting it.

 I wasn't powered enough for any bearaways but that worked well as I just plodded where the others were sailing back and forth. Felt like the 80s. Nice to sail in company on a lovely spring day.

 Stoked as I got every gybe. I've been losing confidence on the lake and feeling like I'm past it but today was a great confidence boost.

 Severne says that the custom Turbo should have a wider range than my previous one so I'll use the 7.5m next time.

Valentine, NSW, AU. McKee Atlas 120ltr. KA Koncept 7.5 35/40 carbon fin. Suffering from a moderate to severe case of speed disease. Can't go nearly fast enough many days lately. After training at with the big dogs at budgy I thought about time I stop in and show that Robbo who's boss. Lined him up for a race and smoked me every time.
Winger smoked me too, but I got him back. I threw in the towel when the parawings appeared. All smiles. Cracker day, top spot. What a pleasure to try Valo first time with Robbo and Sue.
