Had a great sail off Sandy Bay.  Wind started off 18-20 knots (northerly), so rigged the 7.6m SSR on the iSonic 101 with 34cm Drake fin.  Wind was consistent for the first hour or so, but was up and down after that.  Quite a few guys out.  Steve and I targeted the 1hr, which we both only just managed to get in before the wind dropped (my last minute and a half was all under 10 knots), then it was a matter of making up some of the ground that we lost and getting the miles up.  As always, a bit more wind would have been good.

Hi there, today would have to be one of the most fun days of sailing I have had in ages, it was such good day. Fully powered up for around 3 hours, nice easy sailing. I had out my new 08 122 Isonic with a new Select SL7 39cm fin which just arrived on Thursday. The fin worked a treat, no spin outs, really nice. I also had the SSR 7.6. The wind was around a 20 knots when we did the 1 hour. This is the first time I have had the 08 122 out in powered up conditions and it was brilliant. I had last years 07 122 and the 08 was definately an improvement on that model. The board was tracking up wind beautifully and was planning through the lulls with ease. Its funny how Dave and I ended up with very similar scores after sailing that long.

Thanks Izaak, and yes I think those beers might be heading this way Wink.  Steve emailed me his track to sort out as he had to rush off to a BBQ, he'll no doubt post a comment later.
