Interesting day with some heavy showers around, started out on the 8.3 wind come up with some pretty good gust coming through fully maxed out.managed 32.5 on the big stuff then decided to change down. Got out on the 7 just before a rain squall hit couldnt see a bloody thing the rain was that hard. Wasnt a bad day really thats 4 days in a row nowCool.

Gear stated on the Blade 8.3, IS212, Sting 44 then Blade 7m, IS94, Sting 34

Alot of waiting around for the wind today. Got stuck a few times when it dropped out completely. Came in strong a few times before the rain squalls. Got busy up the channel as the tide went out, had sailors coming out of nowhere when the rain reduced visibility.

Wello in the rain. I am happy with the day, although I did not do very well on the gybe, but I was planing most of the day until the end and in the rainsquall in the middle it was too much for me and too rough. Vando and Dave came cruising through the chop full speed, as I was battling up the channel just trying to stay on the board, I don't know how they do it. Falcon 111, Nash Maniac Freeride 6.5 and 35cm fin I think it was viper

Well I had maybe 4 decent runs and just as i venture out past the leads 400m out boom snapped in two places, wind was dying. finally rigged up something sailable to get home, just.

Cheers vando and some other guy for checking on me and having that spare boom ready.

Does anyone know why both sides of the boom would snap at the same time, one on the carbon extender and one at the head of the aluminum when it was barely 15 knots and i was not pumping and obviously didn't crash...

One of those days I would rather forget. Changed sails 3 times then the wind would either die or blow a gale (just after I put the 7.8 on)Cry

I hate sailing in the rainCry
