Beachport, lake george from the 5 mile drift, N 20 to 30+, 9'2" Torquay slalom, 5.8 then 5.0 KA Koncepts, 30 select weedie.

lake weed beds are as flat as I have ever seen them pity they will open the channel to the sea in a month, first time on the 5.0 and a pb Smile never really comfy on it as the boom is really short and didn't setup quite right on the board was better with downhaul past the max but the 5.8 is the sweet size for my board., I need a missile for it Laughing, quite surprised with the alpha pb as it just happened when I was going for speed. ran out of energy to push for some more and it's hard when sailing by yourself all the time to push past the limit. might try the stoke with the 5.0 tommorrow as it looks like it will be on again.

Hope the Barmera or Boggy Lake boys sailed today as well........

Smile Yeh it was fun most off the time but some was hanging on for dear life and just hopeing not to have a big stack like i had last week, was going to go in the surf but we had a 5 to 6 metre swell running and too offshore with a huge high tide that you couldn't drive around the beach to the sideshore spots and a bit wild to be out by myself. we have not had swell under 4metres here for a week and a half.

Nice stuff Jimbob.  Would like to think that I could make it to LG before they flood it but I don't think thats on the cards.

Hey.. nice times Jamie ! good to see someone in SA can still get out for a sail !!!

"was better with down-haul past the max"

i'll take a stab and say.. try using "less out-haul' on the 5, it worked much better for me with lots of negative.. and i've got the same sail.

hope to get out tomorrow, if i make it, that will be the first time since the Burrum Windfest.. way too long.......

Good to see you still working the pb'sCool.  Our lakes are full of water with weed.  Hope sunday's forecast stays with a good north - north east - may get to sail off north haven - the local beachLaughing.

Kimba, even when they open the lake to the sea there is still going to be good weed beds to sail on, up the corner where the cattle grid is has weed to the top at the moment and will be perfect with more water as the west wind funnels through here, it will be also easier sailing out from the drift,

Hey Jimbob, I suppose it will be a good basis for even bigger & better weed beds next summer if I can't make it down over winter.
