An early sess at VP with Glyn, Odin and Sean. We all rigged up and then the wind hammered in, was not able to fully sheet at all, was really over powered, did'nt do any bear aways so no good speeds, still an enjoyable sess though.

Golden Beach, QLD, AU 20-30kts, water didn't drop low enough to give us any flat water so it was pretty rough, good to get out though.

Isonic 76, Koncept 5.0, and 29 caspar. This combo feels great can't wait to get it on flat water. Thanks to Haggar for his IT skills in sorting out my files, beer soon buddy.

Burrum Heads, QLD, AU. W54/7.0 RSS 27Caspar. Sailed out massively overpowered. After a short rest, sailed back in to change down to 6m, and managed to crash hard 2/3 way back whilst doing my 2 sec peak (can't reccomend this). Surfaced to find my GPS and hat floating about 5 meters away, and the rig 30m downwind. Grabbed hat & GPS, now gear was even further away, blowing directly off the bank . As I'm no Thorpedo, swam to the nearby bank.

Walked back a couple of KM's to the boat ramp to try and find a lift back out to my gear which was in the main current ripping out to sea. Bugger no one. Went to rigging area to and found Ray, who kindly offered his boat. We went to his place, & dragged it dowm. Bugger wont start. After much pissing around found the fuel uptake was faulty. Turned fuel tank on its end, yippe now works. About 1 & 1/2 - 2 hours had passed now.

Motored out to near 4th marker, couldn't see the gear. As the engine kept cutting out decided too risky to venture to far away from the bank plus it was starting to get dark. Decided lost cause (BOOHOO BYE BYE 6K)and motored back. Got 3/4 of the way back in and I spotted someone in the water, they must have crashed. Ray says, 'must be Alex', we look back up the course, cant be him, he's still out there. Take a closer look, f**K me, its my gear.

Beats the hell out of me how on an outgoing tide, it came back in a bit and landed on a sand bank??**??

BIG THANKS TO RAY, MUCH APPRECIATED DUDE

Late sail trying to catch the low tide, unfortunately no real flat water until after 6.30pm when it was getting dark and the wrong angle for both banks, finally got the smaller board, but needed a smaller sail today. Really big gusts coming through and was just too over to sheet in. Was just glad to use my new speed board on the frist day I picked it up.  Cant wait to try it on some real flat water, although was very suprised how well it handled the chop!

Jason, you were looking for a name for you kit, how about BOOMERANG. Its a flying tool with a curved shape used as a weapon or for sport. I think the flying tool refers to the rider in this case.WinkLaughing
