Stanley, TAS, AU  Wind never really kicked in before I had to leave for work.

Still, a fun session with Geoff, who is sure to have some better numbers.Smile

Stanley, TAS, AU, Well the day finished a lot better than it started.

Rigged the NCX 6.5 with the Mistral 47, first run down the 2nd channel (which i dont sail very often) and sailed into the sandbank at about 33kn.

Put about a metre long hole in the sail. No damage to me though, so walked back to change gear.

Had to rig the only other sail i had with me the Turbo 7.5 with the Mistral 55.

By the time i got back out to the 3rd channel the sand was disappearing and the wind was picking up.

Really happy to get a 39 with no sandbanks showing on not very smooth water. Ended up getting too windy for the 7.5 so had to come in...

Pitt Water, TAS, AU. Isonic 101, 36cm Venom and R4 6.2.

Went to Dorans first and there was no wind. Then went straight to Pittwater and the wind looked fantastic, W/NW and filled in everywhere. Sailed for an hour and half and then my mast snapped. Took over 2 hours by the time I got back to the car. Came in so windy just after the carnage. The run along the western side (from in front of the carpark to the causeway) looked the best I have ever seen it. Oh well maybe next timeSmile

Bad luck Steve. At least it didn't break when you were sailing off shore somewhere!

o oh Steve, the old batch. I know what it's like to have to walk back in from miles out at Pitt Water after broken gear. Good workout though!Laughing
