JP 118L, Gaastra 8.0 BP 37.5 Nasty wind switching constantly on and off from 0 to 25 knots.

Obviously problem mostly when wind is off not so much in gusts even.

Victoria Point, QLD, AU, new JP Slalom/Speed 55, Reflex4 6.2, Vectort Volt 34. First time on a small speed/slalom board so I took it easy. Very choppy at first but settled down after high tide. Great to meet very good sailors at VP. Board is fantastic, fast, flies over the chops and jibes in choppy water so easily. The best board I've ever tried.

Victoria Point, QLD, AU, iSonic 97, Reflex III 7.0, Crappy and near death DRAKE 36 Freerace fin. First time on the iSonic 97, deck was slippery as hell but really great handling and much easier to control width off the wind in chop. Started midday in knoee/Thigh high chop 18-32 knots (got smashed) but flattened when the tide changed. Great sail with some of the Morton Bay Mob and learned a lot from chatting and watching cheers guys c u next time. Nice work on the Alpha George especially when it was at the lumpy end!!! I was a bit cautious with my ankle so only did a couple of dodgy ones. Except that one crazy laydown I did round you and crashed Tongue out

Hey George - a PB on your first try of a new board, got to be happy with that.

Was an interesting day, pretty windy and quite rough. Wondering what tomorrow will bring??

Cheers

Well done George, You proved yourself with this fantastic planing gybe . Looks like you had much more fun over VP then we at the Train.

I could dream to pop onto my 56 JP Slalom as there is no wind by the beach bank to start.

I wonder how the chop looks this time at VP but since everybody there did above 30 ktn seems to be managable.

Thanks everybody. It was great to meet so many great sailors at Victoria Point today. VP is a great spot with so much variety; b&j, long distance, speed etc. Curt did even better, 32.67 knots but will upload the data tomorrow. He tried 2nd hand iSonic 97 wood and loved it so I'm sure he'll keep it. VP was pretty rough at first but that is alway great preparation for later on when it flattens a little bit down.
