ancient seatrend apre nose job. 6.6, MUF 24. aFTER SUCH A LONG WINDLESS  time any wind was good & this was pretty good, up & down but planing mostly. I counted 23 sailors but would have missed a few. Not as good as advertised but let not us beggars be choosers.

5-20kts SSW Canton Beach, NSW, AU - occasional puff 20+

1st decent sail in over 6 weeks! Yeehaa! Heaps people there -who said windsurfing is dead? Mat had driven up from Albury just to sail Canton! Surprised I hope it kicked in for him later. Russ turned up to watch.Still can't sail.

Bryon , James, Tibor, Bruce , Ray , Pete , Karl , cripes too many to mention!

Most people were hanging around waiting for the wind to come in . They got out after I left.

Gale warning current but only c 5-18kts mainly. Rigged the 6.6m Severne + 115 Xcross + 30 cm weedie. I could have used my 7.5m but there was the occasional strong puff + being cautious due to the forecast.

Really enjoyed it although I got a good puff when I first went out and after 3 runs I was stuffed! Planed most of the time and overpowered when the wind kicked in before a rain period. I was the only one planing out there mostly when I went out. - Pete had packed up.You could tell when it got good as I'd be out of control and everyone else would be blasting.I only bore off 2 x so really happy with the speed on the big kit .That will make my monthly average look a bit better..Wink Wow great alpha for the big kit too!Smile. Interesting I did a non step gybe to get that alpha too - I usually don't do them on big kit.

Great combo that - planes through the lulls , great to gybe. All the 5-12kt sessions have obviously paid off as I felt I sailed the best I've sailed in ages. Got all my gybes and some really nice ones. You can tell by my tracks as they are nice even turns rather than the turn back up into the wind ones I often get.

I even took my 68ltre board down expecting to use it in the 30kts forecast but no way ! Out c 2hrs..Just packed up and it seemed to kick in and everyone blasting around but I think it was up & down a lot.

Ugh great session but I'm seizing up already.Laughing

Thanks for delivering the winch James!

I was out from about 11.30-1.30pm

Canton Beach, NSW, AU 7.6 TR9 with 90l RS2 home made 18cm fin

Nice to sail again but just not enough wind, just did not happen. such a shame.

Unreal to see so many people out .

Sailed cantong for 20 mins but had to go to apointment left at 11. Only 10 to 15 knots just planing.

came back tried to sail at peel st went out and came straight back in no wind.

3rd go back to cantong every person had come in but still at least got a sail very underpowered on 7.6m but planed the whole time.

realy nice to meet new people and sail with everyone today.

Marmong Point, NSW, AU

Formula 159 Maui TR7 10.0 Z fin

Short sail with a couple of the boys. Didnt look all that much but once over the Elebana side plenty of breeze.

Tacked up the lake with Nathan till we got to Rocky Point where the wind came in aorund 18 knots. I had a 10 and struggled. Nathan had a 12!!!!!!

Decided to go back to the calmer protected waters, but wasnt much better so called it a day.

What was it like at Marmong Glen?

Nathan used 12m , Geoff 10m and me 9.2m. Wind was mainly around 8-10 knots then kicked in for a while at a solid 15. Was looking like a lost cause for the first few hours after lunch...there was about 5 knots in the gusts. Must have been nearly 3pm before we got out.
