Ok day at wello out with Rolly and chris pretty choppy on the high tide.

got some flatter runs up in the mangroves but super patchy and short gust.

Good S to SE'ly today but pretty choppy.

Used JP Slalom 112L, Severne gator 6m, BP 35 fin.

Lots of guys out today - Good to catch up with Kev.

Was a bit overpowered with the 6m, some pretty strong gusts. Think I'm just about ready to give up on the JP....

Got down to the grand early before the tide came and most of the GC boys were already there looking foward to a BIG session. What a pity it was total crap with on/off wind and offshore. Sorry Glynn and Sean - as I always say, "I dont drive all the way to Wello of fun!"

Good speeds MikeyTongue out. Greg want to sail comfy in chop try a Futura 111. talk to Vando. Oh forgot also that Carve 111 is also great in the chop, since I had a Carve111 for 4 mths [ loved it but at 246cm long wouldnt fit in my Ranger so switched it for Futura111] both boards were still comfortable up to 25kts in chop. Since glynn has never ridden either I dont think hes qualified to offer an intelligent opinion on them whereas i used to have a JP108 for 6 mths before that & found it very uncomfortable to ride in the chop, again Glynn you wouldnt know since you only sail in flat water!!!!!

Nice going guys :). Greg, mmaaattteee even the bumpers and jumpers were struggling today in that, throw in that weed and gusts and no wonder you were struggling. I commend you for taking that board out and giving it a go in those conditions :). She has her conditions that she prefers and flatter water and lighter wind or maybe if you're a gorilla (pwa sailor) ok in today's conditions :). Hang in mate. ( as stated above Futura would of been the go if you wanted a racey board today.

Yer Greg 112 would be to big for today doesnt matter what brand. For a 6mt I would only use 90lt or smaller.

Thanks guys for the comments.  I knew the JP112 was too big but I want to get used to the feel of it tame it!! I will ahve to buy some bigger sails!!

If this wind persists will use the 90 today.
