DanP (6466km): Swan Bay, VIC Au Been ages between sails due to the new arrival in the family. It turns out this is just my 5th GPS sail this year! Dougie's Winter Road Trip to Swan Bay was loads of fun. A great turn out with close to 15 people on the water, and was great to catch up with our western bretheren the Connewarre crew. The best part of the wind was early, only had a few really powered up runs, and was never able to line up a gust with a bear off. It was just good to be out there cruising around. Mistral 112 slalom, 7.5 NCX & 28 MUF Slalom weedie (Now 27.5 weedie after finding the submerged old pier) I had a nice little explore... 2 really long runs, but went to close to the island and couldnt get going out of my gybe as it was too shallow.. result = no good NM We must do this again soon. Cheers team!

Was heaps of fun. Went conservative with sail choices a mtr below what I would normallly pick but had some cruisy runs. Everyone was passing me but what the heck I was on the water!!
Fireman Sam (5363km): First session in AAAGGGEEESSS.... Swan Bay Road Trip with IWC & local crew. Missed the big gusts in the morning, but great to get out on the water, even if I did have a head cold :( JP Super Sport Pro 100 (damaged on an unmarked steel pole, so ended up on 118), KA Koncept 6.6, SeaWeed Weedie.
Moondo (1641km): Swan Bay, VIC, AU First run on the CA55. 7.1m KA Race. Never really committed to going fast due to not knowing the depth. Welcome back Doug! |
